We were responsible for creating fur animation in 3D, that was used in short movie "III", by Marta Pajek, produced by Animoon Studio.
ABOUT FUR IN...
III Impossible Figures and Other Stories:
The biggest challenge was to make the fur look like it was hand drawn and animated frame by frame. We achieved it by writing a special shader and adding some custom simulations to the individual hair strands.
PROJECT GOAL
The main goal of our work, was to get the feeling of fur softness, but in the same time animate it in a way the viewer would feel the weight of the coat.The movie was screened on a series of animation festivals, including Cannes, PIAFF and Bucheon.
